The Panther Dining Hall at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a Dishwasher. This position promotes sustainability
within dining operations, including implementation and maintenance of Somat or similar food pulping procedures.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

This position works with management to ensure continued compliance with Green Seal initiatives. In addition to “other duties as
assigned”, this position may be required to be cross-trained for another position and/or responsibility to provide both back-up for a
department as well as supplement resources needed during certain times of the year.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
INCLUDE:

  • Properly cleans the cooking utensils and equipment.
  • Restocks all washed items in the appropriate
    area.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of dish machines as well as dish areas.
  • Washes, sorts, replaces, and restocks flatware,
    serving dishes, china, glasses, and all other washable items.
  • Assists daily in trash removal, cleaning, and maintenance of the
    back-of-house operation.
  • Assists in the organization, picking up, and cleaning of the laundry area.
  • Ensure the dish machine
    is properly cleaned and maintained throughout the shift.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:

  • High school
    diploma or GED and one year of related experience.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Previous dishwashing
    experience.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Physical Requirements: Extended standing, walking, ability to bend, stoop, reach,
    and climb ladders.
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds.
  • Ability to work in all temperature conditions.
  • Flexible schedule to
    include nights and weekends.
