Job Summary
The Department of Internal Medicine seeks a Residency Support Coordinator to join our team! In this essential role, you will provide vital clerical support to the residency program director and program administrator, playing a key part in the success of our residency program.
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating educational logistics, supporting resident and faculty scheduling needs, and ensuring the smooth execution of academic programming and trainee-related activities within the residency program.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinate logistics, scheduling, presentation setup, and day-of operations for Academic Half Day programming
- Track resident attendance and prepare presenter thank-you correspondences
- Assist with resident recruitment activities, including interview coordination, candidate gifts, Zoom interview support, and resident/candidate virtual social events
- Coordinate new resident orientation schedules in collaboration with program leadership and oversee day-of orientation logistics
- Assist with onboarding and access to Internal Medicine educational systems and platforms
- Process and monitor resident duty hours and maintain compliance documentation
- Coordinate graduation activities, awards assistance, slideshow preparation, and day-of event setup and support
- Assist with Simulation Lab scheduling, including coordinating faculty schedules, supplies, resident participation, and communication with Simulation Lab staff
- Coordinate and track Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) assignments, schedules, reminders, and completion reports
- Track and coordinate ACLS certification courses and training requirements for residents and trainees
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 2+ years of clerical experience in higher education, administrative, medical field, or other related fields
