KCET 2026: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued an important notice for candidates appearing in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 who have passed their Class 12 examination from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), and other state boards.According to the official notice, such candidates are required to update their Class 12 marks through the KEA portal to enable automatic fetching of marks using DigiLocker. The authority clarified that there is no provision for manual entry of marks or submission of physical copies of mark sheets to KEA.Candidates can complete the process through the official portal, KEA CET Online Portal.The authority further warned that candidates who fail to update their marks may have their KCET 2026 results withheld.
Who needs to update marks?
The notice is applicable only to candidates from:
- Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)
- Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE/ICSE)
- Other state education boards
Students from these boards have been advised to complete the marks updation process immediately.
Steps to update KCET 2026 marks
Candidates can follow these steps to complete the process:
- Firstly, log in to DigiLocker and download the Class 12 mark sheet
- Then provide DigiLocker permission through the KEA portal so marks can be fetched automatically
- Then you have to visit the official KCET portal at KCET Marks Update Link
- Log in using the required credentials
- Lastly, verify and complete the marks updation process online
KEA has also stated that the DigiLocker step is compulsory for updating marks on the CET online portal.Candidates are advised to complete the process at the earliest to avoid any issues during result preparation and merit determination for KCET 2026 admissions.Read the official notice here.
