Job Summary
The Ticket Sales Representative is responsible for maximizing ticket sales, revenue, customer
acquisition, and customer relationships across all ticketed sports and home events.
Core
Responsibilities
- Responsible for selling season tickets, special events, partial plans, and group packages via phone calls,
face-to-face interactions, and in-stadium. - Responsible for selling corporate packages, mini-plans, single games, groups, and
promotional offers for all sporting events. - Contacts existing and previous clients and reaches out to new potential leads through
cold calling, to stimulate sales. - Contacts local businesses and individuals via phone, in-person appointments, and networking
events to sell season, corporate, partial, and group ticket plans. - Assists during home games by carrying out a range of
responsibilities related to ticket sales and customer services throughout the event. - Maintains relationships to encourage repeat
business by providing excellent customer service. - Achieves and exceeds sales goals established by management.
- Creates
opportunities for new business with existing and new customers. - Delivers exceptional customer service to clients consistently
throughout the entire season. - Enters data into databases and systems and maintains regular communication to report individual sales
progress. - Collaborates with marketing and ticket operations to contribute insights to sales and messaging calendars, also drafts
and proofreads the copy. - Assists the Athletics Development team by reaching out to contacts and offering opportunities for donor
donations/fundraising. - Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School
Diploma - One (1) year of related work experience.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity
of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge and understanding of
policies of the NCAA, American Conference, and the University of Texas at San Antonio. - Ability to recognize and capitalize on
opportunities to strategize on sales with customers. - Knowledge of building customer relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft
Office Suite.
Working Conditions
- Office environment. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training
sessions, or other business-related events. After-hours and weekend work are required occasionally.
Physical
Demands
- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only
occasionally. Exerts up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally.
This position will work primarily on campus. Travel
and parking expenses are the employee’s responsibility.
This position is contingent upon a successful background check.
Verification of a valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable. Applicants selected must be able to
