Duties & Responsibilities:

Typical Duties

  • Provides
    administrative support to ensure that patients are seen promptly.
  • Educate the students on Student Health’s appointment system.
  • Assist students with registration to ensure that demographic information is accurate and current and the necessary paperwork is complete
    prior to their appointment.
  • Communicates any necessary needs for change to the supervisor to ensure that students are receiving a
    high level of care.
  • Processes necessary fees for the students and communicates the acceptable payment options or payment
    arrangements if needed

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Medical business office
    skills such as patient and clinician management, medical records management, and fiscal operations are necessary.
  • Working knowledge
    of basic bookkeeping is necessary.
  • Excellent professional customer service is a must.
  • Ability to work in a diverse
    environment is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a
    population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.

Preferred Qualifications

Salary Range: 40,000
