Summary of Job Duties:
The Registered Triage/Float Nurse I will utilize the nursing process
to provide direct and indirect patient care in the Primary Medical Clinic. This position has a strong focus on walk-in and telephone triage
and allows for a large degree of autonomy. The Nurse in this position will work closely with another triage nurse, with a team of medical
providers and psychiatrists, and with other nurses to facilitate patient flow and must be able to identify urgent/emergent situations.
Therefore, strong physical assessment skills and triage knowledge is essential. Due to fluctuations in patient volume, cross-training in
other areas of the clinic is mandatory.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to obtaining patient history and physical
assessment, wound care, IV therapy, assisting with minor surgical procedures and administration of medications, application of orthopedic
devices, immunizations, and treatments. This position will also assist with training and on-boarding of new triage and float nurses.

This position is designated as a remote essential role and requires availability during campus closures or emergencies. In such
events, a dedicated team of medical professionals will be on standby to provide care through telehealth services, if deemed appropriate. All
telehealth services will comply with Arkansas State Medical Board regulations and consider the nature of the medical issue, patient
preference, and available resources.

All staff are required to take their UA-issued laptops home nightly during the work week and
each weekend to ensure continuity of care and access to telehealth services during unexpected closures.

Regular, reliable, and
non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships
with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Registered Nurse I
($61,735)

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing
  • Associate degree in Nursing from an
    accredited institution of higher education
  • At least three years of registered nursing experience
  • Recent IV
    experience

Registered Nurse II – ($67,908)

  • All of the above plus Certifications from American Nurses Credentialing
    Center (ANCC), including but not limited to Ambulatory Care Nursing, and/or specialized training in areas of healthcare such as college
    health, primary care, urgent care, or GYN/Women’s Health, etc., held by the applicant beyond the basic Registered Nurse licensure that is
    relevant to the roles and responsibilities of the daily job duties of the position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor
    of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution of higher education with at least five years of registered nursing
    experience
  • Certification in ambulatory care or telephone nursing practice
  • The ideal candidate will be a team player and will
    demonstrate outstanding customer service
  • Successful candidates will possess a wide range of nursing skills with a focus on patient
    assessment
  • Nursing experiences that include nurse triage in an emergency room or acute care setting
  • Previous experience in
    college health setting
