Job Description Summary:
The Bookstore Clerk provides excellent customer
service for all customer needs and purchases. The Clerk also assists in the process of ordering, receiving, pricing and stocking
merchandise.
It is expected that this individual will accomplish assigned duties in an efficient, effective, competent manner and
strive for improvement and excellence in all work performed. Additionally, this individual must understand the comprehensive role of the
community college and cooperate and work harmoniously with college personnel and the public. This individual will follow all college
policies, rules, regulations and guidelines as they relate to this position
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in
retail sales or in another position that involved significant contact with the public and handling a significant amount of cash, preferably
in a collegiate environment.
Knowledge of:
Principles and practices of PC’s and related software, e.g.

How to operate a POS system
General cashiering duties
Point of sale,
Winprism systems
Microsoft Office Programs
Telephone practices and
procedures
Knowledge of general office duties including filing
Knowledge of proper lifting
