Scope of Job:
Coordinates and supports the
operational functions of the UTRGV Athletic Ticket Office. Assists with the planning and implementation of ticket operations, sales
initiatives, and game day ticketing activities.

Description of Duties:

  • Coordinates the daily operational activities of
    the UTRGV Athletic Ticket Office to ensure efficient service and effective ticket sales operations.
  • Assists with the implementation
    and execution of ticket sales initiatives including season tickets, group sales, and promotional campaigns.
  • Provides administrative
    coordination and operational support for ticket sales strategies, fan engagement initiatives, and ticket office reporting.
  • Maintains and monitors ticket inventory, ticket allocations, and ticket distribution processes for all ticketed athletic events.
  • Analyzes ticket sales data, attendance figures, and customer trends to assist in preparing departmental reports and projections.
  • Coordinates daily game day ticket operations including box office operations, will-call management, and ticket distribution
    logistics.
  • Provides guidance and support to all assigned staff involved in ticket sales and game day operations.
  • Supports
    outreach efforts and engagement initiatives related to group sales, community partnerships, and fan experience programs.
  • Maintains
    ticketing databases, customer accounts, and ticket sales records to ensure accurate reporting and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborates with athletics marketing, development, and operations staff to support ticket promotions, special events, and fan
    engagement activities.
  • May assist in developing and improving ticket office procedures, operational processes, and customer service
    practices.
  • May represent the ticket office at athletic events and community activities as needed.
  • Performs other duties as
    assigned.

Supervision Received:
General direction from assigned supervisor.

Supervision Given:
General
supervision of support staff.

Required Education:
Bachelors degree from an accredited university.

Preferred
Education:

None.

Licenses/Certifications:
None.

Required Experience:
One (1) year of experience in
ticket operations, sales, athletics administration, event management, or a related field.

Preferred Experience:
Experience
working in a similar capacity in college athletics, professional sports, sales, or community relations. Knowledge of sports ticket sales
strategies and/or a network of relationships within the UTRGV and RGV community.

Equipment:
Use of standard office
equipment.

Preferred:Experience with ticketing software.

Working Conditions:
Needs to be able to
successfully perform all required duties. Usual office conditions plus attendance at various University sports events. Ability to work
extended hours that are often outside of the normal business schedule such as evenings, weekends, and holidays. Occasional travel is
required. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. UTRGV is a
distributed institution, which requires presence at multiple locations throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

Extroverted
personality type with exemplary written and oral communication skills. Commitment to handing sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Proficiency in mining data to identify prospects. Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully with internal and external stakeholder
groups. Ability to exhibit integrity with high ethical standards and strict adherence to NCAA, conference, university and departmental rules
and regulations.
