Global Logistics and Supply Chain Program Lead and Industrial Trainer

SUMMARY:
Temple College is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking professional to serve as Program Lead and Industrial Trainer for the Global Logistics and Smart Supply Chain program, housed within the Texas Integrated Manufacturing and Engineering (TIME) Center. This role is central to developing a next-generation workforce prepared for careers in logistics, distribution, and supply chain operations enhanced by automation, robotics, and digital technologies.

The ideal candidate will bring industry experience in logistics systems, warehouse automation, inventory control, and supply chain operations, with strong familiarity in emerging technologies such as autonomous systems, RFID tracking, smart conveyors, cloud-based logistics platforms, and integrated robotics. This position supports the rapid evolution of Central Texas as a hub for advanced manufacturing, distribution, and global supply chain activity.

Under general supervision from the Vice President of Workforce Development, the incumbent will lead program development, deliver instruction, and support workforce training initiatives aligned with industry needs. The Program Lead will develop curriculum, manage lab environments, coordinate with industry partners, and deliver training across credit, non-credit, and customized contract programs.

This role also supports workforce innovation through applied learning, industry engagement, and integration of Industry 4.0 technologies into logistics and supply chain education.

Please note: This is a non-tenured teaching position on a Professional Staff salary contract.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Logistics operations, supply chain systems, and distribution processes
  • Warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation systems (TMS), and inventory control
  • Industry 4.0 technologies in logistics including automation, robotics, and IoT
  • Instructional methods, curriculum design, and adult learning principles

SKILLS:

  • Strong instructional and facilitation skills
  • Effective communication (written and verbal)
  • Planning, organization, and program management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant logistics software systems

ABILITIES:

  • Ability to engage diverse learners in hands-on and technical instruction
  • Ability to translate industry experience into effective training
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and workforce demands

PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Moderate activity including standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 40 lbs with assistance). Use of computers and instructional equipment required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in classroom, lab, and high-bay logistics training environments within the TIME Center.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Nights and weekends as needed.

Trainer schedules may vary and include evening, weekend, online, hybrid, and/or dual enrollment courses at multiple locations.

This is an on-site position. Essential duties must be performed in person.
