General Summary
Odessa College is seeking a reliable, customer-focused Part-Time Bookstore Clerk to support daily operations within the campus bookstore. This unique role combines retail sales for Wrangler Outfitters with food service support for Wrangler Kitchen’s Grab & Go, creating a dynamic and engaging environment.
The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and enjoys working with both merchandise and food service in a fast-paced campus setting.
Specific Position Duties
Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors
Assist customers with retail purchases, including apparel, school supplies, and merchandise
Operate point-of-sale (POS) system for both retail and food transactions
Stock, organize, and merchandise Wrangler Outfitters products
Restock and maintain Wrangler Kitchen Grab & Go items, ensuring freshness and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and organization of retail and food service areas
Assist with receiving, inventory, and product displays
Support promotions, special events, and seasonal merchandising
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Work collaboratively with bookstore, Wrangler Outfitters, and Wrangler Kitchen teams
Minimum Qualifications
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask between retail and food service duties
Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Basic math and cash handling skills
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
Flexible and willing to assist in various areas as needed
Work Hours: Part-time hours (up to 19 hours per week) Operating hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Saturday hours: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM Schedule will vary within operating hours and may include mornings, afternoons, and occasional Saturdays
