Position Description
Assists a manager with the
management of a sub unit within a department. Plans, organizes and develops goals and procedures. Represents the sub unit to administrators,
outside agencies and others on relevant matters. Supervises subordinate staff.

About the Department and/or College

Major/Essential Functions

  • Manage
    staff, prepare work schedules/determine staff requirements, and assign duties. Coordinate assignments of cooking personnel to ensure
    economical use of food and timely preparation. 20%
  • Interview, hire, and train new employees and develop existing staff.

  • Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, freshness, and food presentation. Ensure that food is prepared in accordance
    with food safety guidelines and presented in an acceptable manner. 20%
  • Maintain food inventories and keep inventory records.

  • Order and receive food and beverage deliveries, check delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity. Thorough
    knowledge of food safety preparation, including temperatures, hold times, cross-contamination, etc.20%

Required
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with some supervisory experience; OR a combination of education and/or supervisory experience to
equal four years.

Preferred Qualifications

Pay Range
$17.69 – $22.98 – $28.32
