Job Summary
Under the general direction of a higher-level administrator, performs advanced administrative, supervisory, and technical duties in
support of property control, receiving, fleet management, and campus beautification programs. Work includes coordinating operations,
ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, maintaining records in statewide systems, and assisting with audits and
reporting requirements.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists in the administration and
coordination of property control and receiving operations in accordance with established policies, procedures, and state
regulations. - Supervises administrative personnel and student workers by assigning and reviewing work, approving leave and time
records, and evaluating performance. - Coordinates fleet management functions, including scheduling and monitoring vehicle
maintenance and repairs, overseeing vehicle tracking systems, administering fuel card programs, and preparing required reports. - Reviews, enters, and maintains data related to vehicle usage, maintenance, and inventory in the Louisiana Property Assistance
Agency (LPAA) RECOUP system. - Processes surplus, inoperable, or obsolete vehicles and equipment in compliance with LPAA policies
and procedures, including documentation and coordination of disposal activities. - Assists in conducting training for staff related
to property management, receiving procedures, and fleet operations. - Assists Risk Management personnel with vehicle claims
processing and maintains supporting documentation. - Conducts inquiries and fact-finding related to reported misuse or abuse of state
vehicles and prepares written reports of findings. - Coordinates and participates in campus beautification, grounds enhancement, and
recycling initiatives. - Assists with internal and external audits by compiling records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance
with Legislative, LPAA, Risk Management, and federal requirements. - Performs other related duties as
assigned
Qualifications
Minimum:
- A baccalaureate degree plus three years of
professional experience in property management, fleet operations, administrative services, or a related field.
OR
- Six years
of full-time work experience in property management, fleet operations, administrative services, or a related
field.
