Job Description

The Manager of Facilities
Procurement and Inventory plays a crucial role in MU Facilities Operations, ensuring the efficient acquisition, management, and distribution
of inventory valued at approximately $5 million annually. This position supports the operational needs of all departments within Campus
Facilities, optimizing resources and maintaining high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee purchasing
    activities for facilities inventory, ensuring compliance with university policies and budgetary guidelines.
  • Manage logistics and
    delivery processes, coordinating timely receipt and distribution of goods across campus.
  • Collaborate with all departments within
    MU Facilities Operations to assess procurement needs and support ongoing projects.
  • Utilize software programs including
    PeopleSoft, WebTMA, Maximo, and Microsoft Office products to track inventory, process orders, and generate reports.
  • Maintain
    accurate records of inventory levels, monitor usage, and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with
    vendors to ensure quality and reliability of supplies.

Shift

7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday -
Friday

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and
at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred
Qualifications

  • Comparable experience or a bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, retail
    management or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in procurement, inventory management, or facilities operations.
  • Must have the ability to become proficient with PeopleSoft, WebTMA, Maximo, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong
    organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in vendor negotiation and contract management.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, which
    will allow legal operation of a motor vehicle in the State of Missouri.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary
Range: $80,000 – $90,000 annually

Grade: GGS-11
