Assistant Director, Campus Operations

Job Summary

This position provides a comprehensive
maintenance program and services for all facilities, including classrooms, offices, and common areas. The position maintains all assets of U
Asia Campus (UAC) in good condition, including furniture and equipment in classrooms and offices. It also
allocates venues for efficiently using the building space. The allocation covers official classes, guest speakers, exams, summer camps, and
UAC events. In addition, this position is responsible for offering the best learning environment for students,
while establishing a security system for students’ safety, re-modelling the space of the building, and keeping the condition that meets the
expectations of the UAC community. Responsible for allocating faculty housing& providing inspection service for it
before joining new faculty and after leaving the faculty and assisting the IGC housing office to advocate and
communicate for the members of UAC. This position reports to the Executive Director of Campus Operations and
Government Affairs, a division under the Chief Administrative Officer.

Responsibilities
Facilities Operations &
Maintenance

  • Maintain the best condition of facilities and equipment in the UAC building by inspecting all facilities
    weekly, including common areas, offices, classrooms, and bathrooms.
  • Coordinate between the Incheon Global Campus (IGC) Foundation
    and UAC concerning facility concerns.
  • Oversee the management of cleaning staff and custodians.
  • Ensure facilities are
    clean, functional, and safe

Space, Asset Management, and General Services Support

  • Coordinate with the IGC
    housing office to fix the problem for faculty housing
  • Housing allocation for the eligible faculty members through cooperation with
    the IGC Foundation, and conducting inspection services when check-in and check-out
  • Manage office space allocation and facility
    utilization in consultation with the UAC leadership
  • Reserving the guest house and dormitory for temporary staying
  • Work in
    collaboration with Academic Affairs and Human Resources during the onboarding and offboarding process
  • Coordinate office moves,
    renovations, projects, and workspace setup
  • Lead the assessment and planning of additional space requirements for Phase 2 of the IGC
    site, including:

– Classrooms, laboratories, offices, and research facilities- Future capacity needs across academic and
administrative functions- Coordination with the IGC Foundation to align with overall campus development goals.

  • School event support,
    such as placement of furniture and equipment required

Safety & Security

  • In collaboration with the
    University of Utah Security, ensure UAC follows health, safety, fire, and environmental regulations
  • Support emergency preparedness
    and evacuation procedures following the guidelines provided by the IGC Foundation.
  • Enhancement, development, and oversight of the
    UAC safety and security system

– Medical preparedness and Emergency response, such as providing staff training in CPR/ AED, etc.-
Developing and implementing a Standard Response Protocol for the emergency- Establishment and management of an effective emergency response
system for incidents such as violence or physical injury at the UAC building, including overseeing the Emergency Button system- Close
cooperation with the related team at SLC for the necessary area
Science Laboratory Preparation and Supervision

  • Planning, building, and overseeing the operation of the science lab
  • Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and training of
    the new Science Laboratory Specialist
  • Responsible for all inventories of the science lab and orders
  • Collaborate with the
    science departments in academics to support the needs and management

Team Leadership

  • Supervise the
    Computer Science Lab Specialist within the division.
  • Assign projects, monitor performance, conduct performance review/management,
    and support professional development.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives as well as provide training if needed.
  • Other
    duties as assigned by the Executive Director of campus operations& Government Affairs and CAO.

Qualifications
