Required
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Hospitality, Business or a closely related field.
- One (1) year of
related experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervises students assigned to front of the
house Cafe 101 service on a daily basis. Assists, trains, and evaluates students in proper table service and customer satisfaction.
Supervises Cafe 101 class from table assignment, table setup through patron ordering and final check out. - Prepares/sets up Cafe 101
for classroom service. Maintains and documents all reservations for Cafe 101 service. Works closely with the chef instructor to ensure
completion of all tasks so that patrons are served and finished prior to end of class - Maintains equipment and supplies for area of
responsibility. Maintains running inventory of all dishes, serving bowls, glasses and silverware utilized for Cafe 101 service. Cleans and
check proper functioning of all lab equipment for front and back of the house operation to ensure optimal functioning Maintains par levels
of linen service. - Supervises Cafe 101 activity to ensure compliance with Sanitation and safety requirements and guidelines from
college and local authorities. - Ensures security of all monies during Cafe 101 service assigned shift. Deposit all monies with
finance department on daily basis. - Coordinate volunteers for the Gala and all departmental special events. Maintains all special
events records for area of responsibly. Work with the college event planner to help facilitate College events hosted by the
department. - Will be department liaison for students, high schools, and outside association projects and workshops.
- Maintain
and ensure proper functioning of Point of Sale system, and troubleshoot system issues and updates as needed. - Other duties and
special projects as assigned and directed by the Supervisor, President or their designee.
Knowledge, Skills, &
Abilities:
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally
and in writing. - Strong organizational skills and be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
