Justice Health Services was established through a unique collaboration between Augusta University Health System and the Georgia Department
of Juvenile Justice with the goal of delivering high-quality health services to the state of Georgia’s justice-involved youth in 25
facilities.

transform young lives by providing evidence-based rehabilitative treatment services and supervision, strengthening the well-being of youth
and families, and fostering safe communities.
Each youth will receive appropriate, individualized care to improve their health
knowledge and their potential for wellness.
Responsibilities
Under general direction of the Director of
Operations, directs/supervises nursing services at the DJJ YDCs and RYDCs; assists in planning and directing activities to provide optimal
care. Directs assignments/activities of professional nursing personnel and conducts performance evaluations. Responsible for procurement of
nursing supplies and related equipment. Evaluates patient care, unit conditions, and equipment in use. Directs CQI programs as they relate
to patient care in the facility.
Position maintains overall responsibility for the financial and management operations of those DJJ
facilities assigned to their region. Requires periodic site visitations and evaluates/monitors systems in order to ensure compliance with
established policies, goals and philosophy in accordance with contractual obligations and accreditation standards. Provides support, counsel
and direction for the site management teams.
Required Qualifications
Educational
Requirements
Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia.
3 years of previous management or supervisory experience in
nursing administration or a clinical setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred
Experience
Bachelor of Science of Nursing degree.
2 or more years previous experience in a clinical setting.
3
or more years Correctional clinical experience.
