Marymount University’s Early Learning Academy seeks a PT Kitchen Assistant to prep food for the
University’s Early Learning Academy. This role involves managing the ELA kitchen M-F 10 AM – 1 PM.
Key Responsibilities and
Duties
- Station Setup & Organization: Setting up workstations with necessary equipment and ingredients (washing dishes, sanitizing
counters, etc.). - Food Preparation: Washing, peeling, cutting, chopping, and slicing fruits, vegetables, and meats.
- Serving
Adherence: Measuring and distributing catered lunches according to standardized portions. - Storage & Inventory: Storing food items,
labeling ingredients, maintaining supply inventory and maintaining food safety standards. - Delivering Food: Deliver food to
classrooms during lunch and collect dishes after lunch.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Food Safety Knowledge:
Understanding of sanitary food handling and proper storage temperatures. - Multitasking: Strong organizational skills to work
efficiently. - ServSafe Certification helpful.
Work Environment
- Must be able to lift items and stand for long
periods.
