Program Administrator, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program

The
Program Administrator for the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Program provides comprehensive leadership and oversight for all components of
the Ohio Department of Health (ODH)-approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP). The Administrator is
responsible for ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards, managing faculty and staff, guiding curriculum development, and
upholding instructional quality.

This role emphasizes student success through the strategic coordination of clinical experiences,
accurate data reporting, and implementation of continuous quality improvement initiatives to sustain program excellence and accreditation.
The Program Administrator will oversee both the credit and professional credit tracks of the CNA Program and will collaborate with the
Workforce Program Manager on scheduling and enrollment for professional credit students.

Shift: Monday-Friday; 8:00am-5:00 pm

Evenings and weekends, as needed.
Location: Springfield

Program Oversight

  • Ensure full compliance
    with Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) 3701-18, OBRA regulations, and other applicable state and federal guidelines.
  • Maintain
    program approval with ODH, including applications, site visit preparation, and timely submission of required reports.
  • Respond to
    regulatory inquiries and facilitate ongoing accreditation activities.

Curriculum and Instruction


  • Develop, implement, and evaluate the CNA curriculum in alignment with state guidelines and industry standards.
  • Monitor
    instructional delivery and course content; revise materials as necessary to reflect best practices.
  • Promote the integration of
    technology and simulation in instructional methods.

Faculty and Staff Supervision

  • Recruit, hire,
    train, and evaluate qualified instructional and support staff.
  • Verify that all instructors meet ODH certification requirements,
    including Train-the-Trainer qualifications.
  • Provide professional development, mentorship, and coaching to faculty members.

Student Support and Clinical Placement

  • Serve as a student liaison for academic concerns, appeals, and
    support services.
  • Arrange clinical placements and ensure appropriate supervision and documentation of clinical hours.

  • Develop strong partnerships with long-term care facilities and other healthcare providers to ensure adequate and clinical site access.

Quality Assurance Reporting

  • Conduct ongoing program evaluations through student surveys, clinical
    feedback, and outcome metrics.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, evaluations, and certification pass rates.
  • Submit timely reports and data to the Ohio Department of Health, advisory committee, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead program
    improvement efforts based on evaluation results and stakeholder input.

Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree or a specialized certification program taking one year or
    more of coursework beyond a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio.
  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience, including at least one year in a long-term care setting.
  • Completion of an
    ODH-approved Train-the-Trainer course or willingness to obtain promptly.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Ohio Department of Health
    regulations related to nurse aide training programs.
  • Experience in education, staff development, or program coordination.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and
    electronic recordkeeping platforms.
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements
The work is
sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of
light items, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

Environment

Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office.
