Job Description
The Partner Success Manager furthers WGU’s mission of creating pathways to opportunity at scale by serving the talent management objectives
of large and strategic K-12 Educational organizations across the country. By positioning WGU as the premier partner of workforce development
solutions, this position will ensure the objectives and evolving needs of existing and recently secured partnerships are met while keenly
focusing on account growth, support, and strategic expansion. Serving as the primary point of contact for day-to-day client support, this
position maintains strong relationships with client stakeholders while driving growth of WGU’s portfolio of workforce development solutions.
Location: This position requires you to be located in or around Chicago, IL, Minneapolis, MN, Milwaukee, WI, or Indianapolis,
IN.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage relationships with partners to ensure long-term
success. - Prioritize customer experience, driving partner satisfaction and utilization of WGU’s solutions.
- Focus on expanding
existing accounts by identifying new opportunities for WGU products (degrees, short-form learning, apprenticeships) within the corporate
partner’s structure. - Client Success: Serve as the primary point of contact for existing partners, ensuring high levels of
satisfaction and alignment with workforce development goals. - Business Reviews: Support and contribute towards regular business
reviews with corporate partners to assess performance, gather feedback, and highlight opportunities for further growth and
collaboration. - Collaboration & Problem Solving: Partner with internal teams (e.g., Account Executives, Marketing, Operations) to
ensure the successful delivery of solutions and resolve any partner issues. - Data-Driven Insights: Track key account metrics, such as
enrollment and use of WGU products, to provide actionable insights and improve outcomes for both WGU and the partner.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
- Experience in account management or client success, with a proven track record of
account growth and renewals. - Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain long-term
partnerships. - Experience with contract renewals, upselling, and cross-selling in a B2B setting.
- Ability to identify client
needs, present customized solutions, and negotiate favorable outcomes for both WGU and partners. - Strong understanding of workforce
development trends, training needs, and how education solutions can support organizational goals. - Ability to quickly learn and
articulate WGU’s full range of educational offerings, including degree programs, short-form courses, career placement and
apprenticeships. - Initiative – Self-directed with a strong bias for action and results; displays keen interest in students and

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing or related field
- 4 to 6 years of experience in
partnership management with a record of high performance in solution selling. - Knowledge and use of Salesforce and Microsoft Office
Suite is equally desirable.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a
computer - Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Ability to travel independently by car, train, transit, and plane up
to 30%, including required attendance at designated company summits (typically one to two per year). Additional travel may include
conferences, visits to company locations, and other business-related events as needed. Additional travel may be assigned as needed to
support business requirements.
Position & Application Details
Full-Time Regular Positions (classified as regular and
working 40 standard weekly hours): This is a full-time, regular position (classified for 40 standard weekly hours) that is eligible for
