Provides strategic and operational leadership for the School of Architecture and Built Environment’s
physical, technical and administrative infrastructure across multiple locations. Reporting to the Assistant Dean, Administration, this
position is accountable for creating coordinated operational plans that support academic delivery, programmatic operations, and high-profile
school events.
This position directs and integrates facilities operations, event management, and administrative systems to ensure
continuity, efficiency and risk mitigation across both day-to-day operations and peak academic cycles. Exercises independent judgment in
setting operational priorities, allocating resources, managing vendor and service relationships, and addressing complex operational issues
across the school’s Uptown and Downtown locations.
Directly supervises and supports a cross-functional team, including Building
Managers, the Technology Manager, and the Operations Administrator II. In addition, this role plans and manages operational and
event-related budgets, manages external contracts, and oversees event management and leads high-profile events such as symposia,
conferences, commencement and final reviews.

negotiation

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and cloud-based
file management systems
- Advanced experience with high-profile event planning
- The ability to manage
multiple complex projects simultaneously
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of progressive experience in budget development, operations, event planning or a related
field
OR
- High school diploma or equivalent and 10 years’ directly related experience.
PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master of Business Administration
- Experience in higher education or a non-profit
setting
- Experience managing contractors
- Familiarity with interior design
- Experience
working in an architecture or a design-related environment
- Experience with Oracle Cloud
