Job Description
Guest Services Team Members serve as event hosts for our
guests at all home athletic events and at special events hosted by the Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt Athletics Department. Our
mission is to train and empower our team members to ensure that every single attendee enjoys their visit no matter which team they are
cheering on.
At Vanderbilt Athletics, we believe that each of our Guest Services Team Members have a direct influence on the game
day experience for our guests We are looking for positive people who enjoy working events and helping to ensure our guests are having a
great time.
Ideal candidates are attentive, proactive, possess strong interpersonal skills, and work well as part of a team.
Anticipating guest needs and delivering service with a positive attitude are essential qualities for success in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as greeters and ticket takers at home athletic events, including
but not limited to football, men’s and women’s basketball and baseball.
- Greet each guest with a friendly smile and warm
welcome/thank you/goodbye.
- Remain attentive to the needs and professionally responsive to the demeanor of all guests
providing proactive assistance with the highest level of customer service.
- Address issues and questions related to mobile
tickets, seating bowl and ticket purchases.
- Provide directional assistance for guests to appropriate seats and key
locations throughout the venue.
- Identify and react quickly to our guests’ requests and complaints.
- Retain an extensive knowledge of each athletic venue (i.e. seating sections, venue personnel, policies, and emergency
procedures).
- Highly personable and energetic Guest Services Team Members are the face of the organization with whom our
guests will have the most interaction.
- Required to work long hours on event days; ability to sit or stand for extended
periods of time.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Team members must have a basic knowledge of technology (i.e. scanners, radios).
- Must have a positive
attitude and willingness to assist guests in a timely manner.
- Must have availability to commit to working events when you
sign up.
