Range: Up to $80,750/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Summary
The Facility Manager will be responsible
for daily facility operations, coordination of manufacturing training facilities, and maintaining technical equipment, safety, and tactical
technical planning at the CyManII Port San Antonio location. This position will maintain constant communication with leaders, staff, and
vendors to ensure proper research, technical, and engineering operations of the site. Develops, implements, and maintains quality assurance
and compliance protocols. Tracks customer/vendor activities and data and fulfill requests as needed.
Core
Responsibilities
- Performs varied administrative activities related to maintaining facility operations, technical equipment,
tactical planning, and EWD training and services. - Reviews various contracts and execution with vendors for specialized manufacturing
equipment. - Monitors suppliers to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide technical and engineering goods or services
within budgetary limits. - Plans activities in technical, engineering, and lab rental space, that require coordination with other
department managers to ensure facility safety and technical equipment operations. - Engages and assists customers and potential
customers, both within the engineering and technical equipment space and throughout the industrial park. - Manages the procurement and
maintenance of production and engineering lab equipment to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability of facility
operations. - Implements and oversees environmental and safety management by consistently addressing issues such as general safety
practices and special material use and disposal in coordination with the university’s lab safety offices. - Coordinates risk
management and quality assurance activities. - Determines resource needs and report on technical progress and issues, while being able
to write and review technical documents. - Recommends locations for new equipment and oversee the remodeling/renovation of current
facilities as needed. - Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
in a related field. - Five (5) years of related work experience.
- Experience may substitute for education on a one year for one
year basis. - Must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security
and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Maintain control
of facility research, manufacturing floor training coordination, and manufacturing floor guest accommodations - Manage and maintain
highly technical equipment on manufacturing floor - Technical equipment management and business negotiation processes
- Business
productivity software and an aptitude for learning new processes and procedures for maintaining a state-of-the art manufacturing
floor - Written and verbal communications skills
- Technical skills for highly specialized technical
equipment - Collaborative, organizational, customer service and problem-solving skills
- Various technical and production
equipment (operator level maintenance)
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing production floor, training
classroom, and office environment. Working hours: Monday- Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm. Occasional evening and weekend hours. Some travel
required.
Physical Demands
- Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or
otherwise move objects.
This position will work primarily at the Port of San Antonio. Travel and parking
expenses are the employee’s responsibility.
This position is contingent upon a successful background check. Verification of a
valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of
