Overview:
The Management Department of the School of Business Administration at The University of
Mississippi (Ole Miss) invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position in Management at our main campus in Oxford, Mississippi.
This position is open at the rank of Instructional Assistant Professor of Management.
Duties:
The successful
applicant will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or MBA-level courses, specifically focusing on Management, Strategic Management
and Operations Management. Because our programs serve a diverse and growing student body, the teaching load will require a mix of both
online and in-person instruction.
Primary responsibilities include delivering high-quality, engaging instruction, mentoring students,
and providing service to the department, university, and profession. As an instructional faculty member, the primary focus is on teaching
excellence and pedagogical innovation, rather than the heavy research requirements of a tenure-track position. Teaching load is typically 7
courses over the academic year. Options to teach summer courses for additional pay may be available subject to course and funding
availability.
Well qualified applicants will credibly be able to teach the required courses. Some relevant industry experience is
preferred.
Required Qualifications:
- An earned doctorate degree (or hold ABD status with expected degree completion
prior to August 2026) from an AACSB-accredited program in Management, Operations, Business Administration, or a closely related
field. - Demonstrated expertise or a strong willingness to teach courses in Management, Strategy, and Operations Management.
- A
proven track record of, or strong potential for, highly effective teaching in both traditional (face-to-face) and online
environments. - Evidence of a strong commitment to student success, professional development, and departmental
service.
