NDSU Dining is at the forefront of allergen-friendly dining. This position will oversee the management of NDSU Dining’s menu database and support innovative, award-winning nutrition programs for special diet accommodations. NDSU Dining was the 2023 winner of Best Allergy Training for Universities and the 2022 winner of the Best Allergy Innovation for Universities in MenuTrinfo’s Annual Allergy Awards. More than 30 NDSU Dining team members are AllerTrain U certified. Our facilities include a designated allergen friendly dining center with a food station free from the top nine allergens. Description & Details:
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm | Schedule will vary slightly depending on academic breaks and seasonal events.
Hiring Range: $54,000 – $65,000+/year depending on experience
Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in dietetics or food and nutrition through an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accreditation program (After January 1, 2024, the ACEND requires anyone taking the registration exam to become a dietician have a master’s degree. Prior to January 1, 2024, individuals qualifying to take the registration exam need to have the minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics.)
- Registered Dietitian or successfully complete registration within 6 months of hire
- Current or eligible license with North Dakota Board of Dietetic Practice (NDBODP)
- 2 years of food service experience required
- Food Safety Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with menu management and/or nutrition software
- Nutrition counseling experience
- Training experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products including email
- Supervisory experience in a food service operation
- Food Allergen Training Certification or the ability to obtain
