Oncology Research Registered Nurse (RN) to partner with physicians, researchers, and patients at the forefront of cancer
treatment and discovery.

As an Oncology Research RN, you play a critical role in advancing cancer research while delivering
compassionate, high-quality patient care. You will support clinical trials and research initiatives by combining expert nursing practice
with patient education, data collection, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Every day, your work contributes directly to better outcomes,
innovative therapies, and hope for patients and families.

What You’ll Do: You will perform a wide range of
professional nursing duties, acting as both a clinical expert and trusted patient advocate, including:

  • Clinical & Patient Care
  • Assist physicians during exams and procedures; prepare patients and ensure all relevant clinical information is available.
  • Collect patient samples including blood, urine, and other specimens; properly prepare samples for testing or shipment.
  • Obtain
    and accurately record vital signs and clinical measurements, including heart and respiratory rate, blood pressure, temperature, weight, and
    more.
  • Prepare patients for treatment, procedures, and research protocols, including medication administration and sedation, per
    physician or medical direction.
  • Respond quickly and confidently to medical emergencies such as anaphylaxis, hypoglycemia,
    hypotension, hemorrhage, and respiratory distress.

Research & Data Support

  • Collect, document, and
    organize laboratory reports, clinical data, and study-related records with exceptional accuracy.
  • Support ongoing research
    initiatives by ensuring data integrity and protocol adherence.
  • Gather information vital to patient safety, study outcomes, and
    physician decision-making.

Patient Education & Coordination

  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers
    regarding treatments, research protocols, medications, and follow-up care.
  • Answer routine patient inquiries with empathy,
    professionalism, and clarity.
  • Schedule and follow up on patient appointments, ensuring an organized and seamless experience.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, clinic clerks, and other
    healthcare professionals to deliver efficient, patient-centered care.
  • Act as a lead nurse as needed, directing and evaluating the
    work of support staff with minimal supervision.
  • Contribute to a respectful, team-focused clinical environment rooted in excellence
    and accountability.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as necessary to support the mission
    and success of the oncology research team.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing.

Required Certifications and Licenses:

  • State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse Certification.
  • BLS and CPR
    certification.

Department Preferences:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
