Job Description:
The Mario J.
Gabelli School of Business at Roger Williams University invites applications for an open rank faculty position in Management. We welcome
applications from candidates at the Assistant Professor (tenure-track) and Lecturer levels, with an anticipated start date of Fall 2026.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and collegial business school community committed to academic
excellence, student success, and meaningful engagement with the broader professional world.
Responsibilities will vary by rank but
may include teaching across a range of management disciplines, such as: Principles of Management, Entrepreneurship, Strategy, Freshman
BUS101 courses and other upper level electives in Business Management.
Teaching assignments may span both undergraduate and graduate
programs. In addition to teaching, all faculty members are expected to:
- Provide excellence in the classroom and bring enthusiasm
and creativity to student learning - Advise students and support student clubs and organizations
- Participate in faculty
meetings, open houses, and school events - Contribute to the School and University through service
Assistant Professor
candidates will additionally be expected to maintain an active research agenda, including publishing in quality peer-reviewed journals.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications
For Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track):
- Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Business Administration or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution, with a specialization in
data analytics, management science, or a highly relevant area - Candidates who are ABD will be considered; the doctoral degree must be
conferred by August 2024 - Demonstrated strong potential for high-quality, innovative teaching and research
- An established or
emerging record of publication in peer-reviewed journals - Business experience is a plus
For Lecturer:
- A
graduate degree from an AACSB accredited school - A passion for teaching and student engagement
- Relevant business experience
is preferred
At the University’s discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be excepted where the
candidate can demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the University, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically
preparing the candidate for success in the position.
