Job Summary
- Serves
as 1 of the points of contact individuals for the Indiana University (IU) School of Optometry Atwater Eye Care Center. - Greets
patients, collects insurance data, and schedules patient appointments. - Triages ocular emergencies and coordinates
care. - Fields and responds to general inquiries as well as patient satisfaction comments.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as
HSED or GED)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferred
- 6 months experience in medical
scheduling - Hands-on experience with a practice management system
- Customer service experience and an understanding of medical
chart maintenance and insurance
SKILLS
Required
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
in all capacities of this position - Demonstrates intermediate computer skills
