Job Summary
The Medical Services group at the University of Colorado,
Boulder is seeking applications for a Physical Therapist! This position provides comprehensive physical therapy
services in the Orthopedic and Integrative Care (OIC) Department per Guide to Physical Therapist Practice, which will include but not be
limited to examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, plan of care and education

The Division of
Student Life consists of 36 departments that provide student support and services dedicated to helping students become
successful, curious, competent individuals during their time at CU Boulder. Medical Services staff understand and are committed to the
unique health concerns of our student population, making us an unparalleled source of advocacy for student wellness! Medical Services
provides a wide range of health care services for students for primary care, physicals, sexually transmitted infection testing and
treatment, allergy shots, vaccinations, travel health care, and concussion care. Our skilled team of providers collaborate to support the
overall health of our students with our team of physicians/nurses, physical therapists, registered dietitians, chiropractors,
acupuncturists, and massage therapists.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Patient
Care:
- Perform physical therapy evaluations. and treatments.
- Educate patients on present condition(s) and teach
preventative aspects of self-care to facilitate and maintain a higher level of wellness. - Complete accurate and timely EHR
documentation and charges for all patient interactions. - Assist in ensuring physical therapy aides, student assistants, and
volunteers function within their appropriate scope. - Communicate / collaborate with other health care providers (internal and
external). - Incorporate the following into daily clinical practice:
- Clinical expertise
- Patient
values - Current best evidence
Administration, Projects, Outreach:
- When assigned, attend and participate
in the following: - OIC department meetings – business and education
- Medical Services (MS) meetings – business and
education - Diversity events / programs
- Participate in peer reviews of colleagues.
- Participate in MS committee
and quality improvement activities as assigned. - Understand the working operations of MS and the CU Boulder Division of Students
Affairs. - Participate in policy and procedure developing, drafting, editing, and revising as assigned.
What You
Should Know
During the academic year (August to May) this position will be 100%, 40 hours per week. During the summer
months (June and July) this position will be 50%, 20 hours per week.

range for this position is $72,000 – $83,720 annually, subject to the % of time. - Onboarding assistance is available within Student

What We Require
- Graduate from
accredited Physical Therapy program. - Physical Therapy license with State of Colorado by the date of hire.
- BLS Certificate
within 3 months of hire.
What You Will Need
- Basic functional computer skills (experience with Windows
based systems). - Advanced clinical reasoning skills.
- Proven communication, customer service and problem-solving
skills.
What We Would Like You to Have
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist
in an outpatient orthopedic setting. - Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist.
- Previous EHR experience.
- Certified in Dry Needling.
- Clinical Experience or Certification in Vestibular Therapy.
- Clinical Experience in
treating patients with Neurological Disorders.
