SUMMARY, DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS:

Job Summary

The Campus Store Specialist ensures exemplary customer service is provided to NTC students, staff, and the public. The Campus Store
Specialist assists with the purchasing and merchandising of general merchandise both in-store and via the Campus Store website. This
position also plans and executes store promotions, maintains product listings on the ecommerce site, assists with the training and
development of student employees, and coordinates web order fulfillment and shipping software.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The following duties are primarily
performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily and
successfully with or without reasonable accommodation.

Merchandising:

  • Receive and inspect new merchandise.
  • Merchandise new products and remerchandise on a regular basis.
  • Monitor inventory levels and prepare/place product orders.
  • Ensure store and stockroom are clean, organized, and all visual standards are met.
  • Plan and execute merchandise markdowns and
    promotions both in-store and online. This includes setting up accurate discounts in inventory control software, website, and related
    promotional signage and images. Provide coordination of Campus Store marketing activities with the Student Engagement team.
  • Entry
    of merchandise descriptions and upload of merchandise photos for store website.
  • Maintenance of online product listings ensuring new
    merchandise is added and discontinued items are removed in a timely manner. Organize product listing into user-friendly categories and
    descriptions/photos meet accessibility standards.
  • Utilizes AI and emerging technologies, as appropriate, to enhance daily workflow
    efficiency, improve service delivery, and support accurate and timely completion of responsibilities in alignment with institutional
    guidelines.

Clerical and Data Entry:

  • Provide general clerical support.
  • Data entry and verification of
    item prices and purchasing documents.
  • Perform basic information analysis and reporting.
  • Perform filing and maintain
    data/information organization.

Store Operations:

  • Open and close store.
  • Prepare daily deposits and change
    orders.
  • Order store supplies as needed.
  • Assist with store and campus events.
  • Train and monitor work of student
    employees and provide coaching/feedback.
  • Provide support for Student Engagement Manager and Campus Store & Course Materials
    Coordinator as needed.
  • Coordination of web-order fulfillment procedures to include accurate fulfillment, tracking and maintaining
    backorders, order-related customer communications, maintenance of shipping partnerships, etc.

Accounting Support:

  • Data entry and maintenance of routine student authorization billing forms, vendor invoices, and 3rd party billing agreements and
    accounts.
  • View accounts receivable invoices and answer basic customer questions.
  • Verification of student eligibility for
    accounts receivable purchases.

Other:

  • Assist with annual inventory and year-end procedures.
  • While the
    position description outlines the essential functions and responsibilities of the position, staff may be called upon to assist with tasks or
    projects in other areas of Student Services and the College as needed in support of institutional goals and student success.
  • While
    the primary work schedule is during standard business hours, occasional evening and/or weekend hours may be required to support student
    needs, college events, and operational success.
  • Work is primarily conducted at the NTC Wausau Campus but occasional travel to
    regional campuses or Centers of Excellence may be required to meet support students, ensure adequate coverage, and participate in training
    or other operational activities This position is not eligible for remote work.

Education: One Year Certificate (or Equivalent)

Language Skills:

Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, reports and
emails; speak and may present information to groups.

Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written,
oral, or diagrammed instructions; solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Ability to navigate to and between computer applications; read/reply
to emails, open/save/close files and applications; find, format and print documents; operate common office equipment.

Customer Service Skills:

Ability to actively listen, discern key information, and
respond professionally; ask follow up or clarifying questions to diffuse escalated situations and offer appropriate problem resolution when
necessary.
