As a Dining
Services Associate you will be responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety of the dining operations.
This includes front of the house and back of the house areas along with receiving and stocking duties. Stocks, rotates, and replenishes
merchandise.

Duties
and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Scrapes, cleans, sanitizes, and replenishes all
    dishes, silverware, cups, glasses, pots, and pans etc. Properly stores all clean items.
  • Operates dish machine or pot machine and is
    responsible to record proper temperatures and correct levels of chemical sanitizers according to regulations. Loads and unloads dish
    machine.
  • Disposes of food waste and trash both front of house and back of house as needed. Sweeps and mops all floors and walk in
    refrigerators. Separates recycling from trash.
  • Assists in receiving, storing, transporting and stocking of food and nonfood
    items.

NONESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assists in transporting supplies from storage areas to work areas as
    required. Fills juices, milk, and soda machines as needed.
  • Assists on serving lines or back of the house prep work if needed. Acts
    as a runner to replenish food supplies on service lines. Communicates with cooks concerning amounts of food on service lines.
  • Works
    special events/weekends as required
  • Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Work Skills:

  • Basic reading and writing skills; basic
    communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Practices excellent personal hygiene habits and follows and
    adheres to uniform standards.
  • Ability to: follow directions and complete assigned tasks, work with minimal supervision, and to
    interact with people on a constant basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred – High school diploma or
    equivalent
  • Preferred – Basic knowledge of food service safety and sanitation
  • Preferred – Serv Safe Training and Allergy
    Awareness Training

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours

Tools, machinery, and equipment
used:

  • Knives, slicers, and all kitchen equipment

Environmental conditions:

  • Chemicals used
    for cleaning
  • Weather exposure for special events

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to stand for
    extended periods
  • Ability to lift, push/pull up to 50 pounds independently
  • Ability to withstand extreme temperatures

Salary Posting Information

$17.50 per hour. Shift differential for qualifying
shifts.
